CrossWise Productions Organization
Crosswise Productions is a non-profit organization dedicated to bring God's word to the Dallas community through fine arts.
The CrossWise Players are a community drama group formed in 1991 at the Tyler Street United Methodist Church to bring quality Christian drama to the stage. The CrossWise Players perform not only at their home church, but also at other churches and in community theaters. The CrossWise Players director is Leon McWhorter.
The Sounding Joy is a community choir first organized in 1972. It currently reorganizes each Christmas season to perform Christmas music at various Dallas area community events. The Sounding Joy manager is Alan Elliott.

Leon McWhorter is a producer with a Dallas radio station and has directed all of the CrossWise Players productions including Catacombs, Snapshots and Portraits, Stained, and The Vision. These productions have established this young troupe as one of the quality community drama groups in the Dallas area. "Our purpose is to raise the quality of family and Christian drama to new levels of excellence," says Mcwhorter. "Dozens of committed and talented volunteers have worked hundreds of hours to make sets, design costumes, and prepare this production to be professional and memorable." | |

Alan Elliott is a local author and serves as publicist for The CrossWise Players and is manager of The Sounding Joy. He is co-author with Leon McWhorter of Stained. Alan is also the author of the book A Daily Dose of the American Dream, Stories of Success, Triumph and Inspiration published by Rutledge Hill Press.
